Only One Problem
This is a good machine, though the high resolution of the screen (1920x1200) makes a lot of icons too small to see well, and reducing the resolution away from the native resolution makes things a bit fuzzy.
But the glitch with this machine (and maybe with other Lenovo notebooks?) is that they put the blue Fn key in the lower left where I expect to find a Ctrl key. Why couldn't they have switched these and left the Ctrl where everyone expects to find it? We'll never know, I suppose.
AutoHotKey (free, http://www.autohotkey.com/) can be used to swap the keys.
All Out Awesome Laptop!
We bought this computer for our 12 year old daughter, and when it came, my wife was acutally thinking of taking it for herself. But that's beside the point, our daughter is in love with this laptop... it's sleek and sexy design makes it stylish, and all the programs and features makes it fun! The Lenovo T500 has a fingerprint scanner to add on to the security, it has a webcam installed on it so... no having to go buy one! It is also equipped with Windows Vista which makes it even better! The main screen also has a side tool bar when you log on... the side tool bar on the right side has, a clock, a game feature you can download, a calculator you can download, sticky notes... and even more! xDD This computer comes in handy a lot.. and you don't have to worry about it breaking, my daughter accidently dropped it a few times, but after you prop it back up.. it's ready to go! Considering we have carpet not wood, or tile... so it would probably be messed up if you drop it on a hard surface... but overall, this computer has worked out perfectly and... you know when they lie and tell you that a product is worth every penny? Well this ISN'T one of those times.. and that's the truth... the Lenovo T500 is TRULEY worth buying! xDD
